I have been working in the addiction and mental health field for the past 13 years. I am married and have 3 amazing children. Aside from spending time with my family, I love to read, bake, and travel.

Ideal Client

I commend you for being willing to take a look at your life through a different lens. It is often difficult to realize we need help, but asking and accepting help is a sign of strength. This journey that you are embarking on will not always be easy, but it is worthwhile.
No one has gotten anywhere quickly by circumventing the issue – we must go through the difficulties and challenges to get to the other side. And I am here to help you uncover the way, guide you, and empower you to do the hard, but worthwhile work.

The ideal client will be open, honest, and willing. And will be committed to the process by not giving up when things get difficult. We don’t know what we don’t know so a willingness to learn new things, implementing the skills learned, and looking at our circumstances from a different vantage point are all critical points of growth.
Methods

I have experience in various modalities, to include Psycho-Education, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Client and Person-Centered approaches.
You are uniquely you, and my goal is to meet you where you are at to create a treatment plan to help you work through your areas of concerns and meet your goals in the most meaningful way possible. I am able to offer Christian Counseling if that is important to you.
Mental Health
Therapy
There are different seasons of life, and we may all need some extra support from time to time. Maybe you have habitual patterns, cycles or reactions that need further exploration.
Dialectics are feelings or experiences that appear to be at odds with one another. Through DBT we learn that we can experience both, and develop a set of skills that can help us live in the present, manage stress, regulate emotions, and improve relationships with self and others.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a highly effective therapy modality that focuses on beliefs, feelings, actions and results, and how the beliefs that propel this cycle can either be helpful or hurtful.
Substance Use Disorder (Addiction) is a chronic, progressive and potentially fatal disease, that affects both the body and the mind. It not only impacts the individual, but also the family system; thus, being called a family disease.
